The camera is a way of paying attention.

Cinemadio began with a shared need to make images that mean something: to us first, and then, we hope, to other people.

Our work moves between fiction, documentary, travel, and commissioned film. The format changes. The intention does not: stay close to the human centre of the story.

We are drawn to real locations, available light, careful sound, and the moments that cannot be repeated. Cinemadio is both the work and the ongoing record around it.

Over a decade of filmmaking across festival shorts, documentaries, music videos, and brand work has taught us one thing: attention is the whole job. Fewer people on set, more of it on the frame.

We start with the story, the audience, the constraints, and what the film has to do in the world. Most of the first conversation is questions.

A visual language, a production approach, and an honest scope. You see the plan before anyone books a camera.

A small senior crew carries the idea through production, edit, sound, and grade. The people who planned it are the people who finish it.

One short film. Ten festival selections, one winner’s laurel.

Humanoid won at the Tagore International Film Festival in 2021 and went on to official selections and finalist places from Istanbul to Goa. Every laurel on this wall belongs to that film, shown here with the work that earned it.
